Toyota Landcruiser 80 Series

KYB Shock Absorbers Australia would like to notify you of the installation technique for Excel G part number 345009 (Front Shock Absorber) suitable for Toyota Landcrusier 80 Series. The Shock Absorber comes with 2 mounting kits (1 for the top and 1 for the bottom of the shock absorber) each consisting of:

2 rubber bushes
4 washers (2 washers feature a spigot design, please refer to Figure 1)

NB: Please discard one spigot washer from each of the mounting kits to reflect the installation shown in Figure 3.

Please refer to Figure 3 to ensure correct fitment to the vehicle.

Please note that three washers (1 spigot washer only) are to be used for the mounting. This is to ensure a tight clamp on the Shock Absorber Chassis Mount (indicated by large arrows) and eliminate any movement and‘knocking’ sounds.

If both Spigot washers are used (Figure 4), even though the mounting nuts may be sufficiently tightened, the shock absorber will still be loose as the two spigot washers will bottom out on each other before they clamp and tighten themselves onto the shock absorber chassis mount.
